The first international congress on disabled sailing activities is being organized by the French sailing federation.
Even with serious handicaps sailing allows disabled people to cruize by themselves. Having either valid or disabled persons sailing together is also an option or even an opportunity. This can be done either on traditional or adapted boats, promoting thus an improved communication.
Gathering, sharing, disseminating good practices, presenting innovations, reflecting on new practices are the objectives of this symposium.
The challenge of the congress
- Having possibilities or improvements known by a vast majority of concerned people
- Inter countries sharing of good practices
- Creating and sharing a true international network
- Develop and sustain the disable sailing activities in new countries
- Think on what tomorrow's practices will be.
- Working together on sailing back in the paralympic games in 2024 in Paris.
